Wie die Eleganzen ausgewählt werden
Die Bewertung erfolgt nach äußerlichen, emotionalen Gesichtspunkten und nach dem Gesamteindruck von Fahrzeug und Pilotenteam. Es findet keine technische Prüfung statt. Die Jury beurteilt die Oldtimer sowohl im Parc Fermé (statisch) als auch bei der Vorbeifahrt am Red Carpet (dynamisch). Am Herzen liegen dem Jurorenteam Fahrzeuge mit hoher Ausstrahlung.
Bewertungskriterien:
1. Die Optik
– Welchen Eindruck macht das Fahrzeug?
– Welche Ausstrahlung hat das Fahrzeug?
2. Seltenheit
– Ist das Fahrzeug Teil einer kleineren Baureihe?
– Handelt es sich um ein Homologationsfahrzeug? Diese wurden in Kleinstserie hergestellt, um das Modell im damaligen Tourenwagen-Rennsport einzusetzen
– Möglicherweise gibt es auch nur auf das Interieur bezogen zeitgenössische Besonderheiten, die eingebaut worden sind? Z.B. besondere Details am Armaturenbrett.
3. Die Qualität der Restauration
– Originalität
– Ist die altersgerechte Authentizität erhalten worden?
4. Automobiler Kulturwert
– Besitzt das Fahrzeug eine besondere technische Neuerung, die damals bahnbrechend war? Z.B. Citroën mit der Hydropneumatik, bahnbrechende Aerodynamik mit besonderen

– Handelt es sich um eine Spezialkarosserie, die in Einzelstücken gemacht wurde? Z.B. von Autenrieth, Bauer, Pininfarina oder Sebring
Diese 4 Kriterien werden jeweils anhand von Schulnoten beurteilt. Daraus ergeben sich die Plätze 1-3.
